Brandi, a senior athlete member from Team Blessed Bodies and busy mom, put The Soup-er Cleanse EAT-CLEAN DIET Vegetarian cookbook recipe to the test!
Brandi is currently on-season for her next fitness model competition and has been able to fit this recipe into her on-season diet by using her food program, Fitness Print.
Ingredients:
extra virgin olive oil
yellow onion
celery
zucchini
chickpeas
ground cumin
cayene
sea salt
freshly ground black pepper
walnuts
parsley
lemons
Review By Brandi: “I thought the recipe was good. I really liked it.  Has a pretty strong lemon-y taste to it so depending on if you like that or not. This also may depend on if you use fresh lemon or “Real Lemon” out of the bottle (which is what I used).
The soup also has quite a bit of texture to it, so depending on what is palatable to you, you may want to test in between blending to see how smooth you like it.  Keeping in mind that it will probably never be completely smooth.  Loved the flavours of cumin and lemon together. The nice thing about this soup is that once you’ve made it, you’ll know next time if you want to add more of something (spices) or less, as it’s easy enough to do.
This would be easy to include into the Fitness Print program whether you’re lifestyle, athlete or competitor. Everything is considered a “free food” other than the chickpeas & zucchini.

Over all…a soup spoon up from me!”
